Participant108. General View, 31/12/21.
Taken presumably from the top of the water tower, similar to earlier views. At this time the temporary standard gauge siding has been repositioned to the further opening into the turbine house for the delivery of equiment. The two gable walls, one concrete, the other corrugated iron would become internal walls when the mill was extended in 1923/24 with the installation of 3 and 4 machines, the beaterfloor extension being the first part of the kraft beaterfloor. The corrugated iron gable all would eventually be replaced with concrete when the turbine house was extended and in the 70s had a small opening about 2′ square with a metal door through which you could look down into the turbine house.

Participant112. Water Tower, 10/2/22.
Looking towards the river, this is the original water tower, later replaced by the 6 legged, taller tower which had REEDS in large red letters on its tank, demolished with explosives in the late 1980s.

Participant116. Economisers, 24/3/22.
The arrangement of gears on the top is to raise and lower the scrappers on the outside of the water tubes, to clean off soot.
