ParticipantI have gathered information on Carrongrove papermill some can be found on the following link. https://www.flickr.com/photos/21499041@N04/albums
Carrongrove now demolished was on the site of Herbertshire papermill.
Carrongrove bought over and knocked down Herbertshire in the early 1900’s
Carrongrove originally produced esparto grass paper, fine writings, coated paper, coloured paper, cheque paper. I had over the course of time 5 paper machines all fourdrinier The last machine was called the Carron twin. I mostly made graphic boards and owned the Gemini brand. This brand was later sold to Tullis Russell of Glenrothes.-

ParticipantBumped into a fellow historian, John Jack former engineer at Stoneywood M.G. & Carrongrove papermills. He told me the war monument dedicated to those from the mills that served in the Great war had been taken from the last remaining mill building ,
refurbished & placed in a local council office.
longer story to perhaps tell at a later date. Thanks to Denny & Dunipace heritage society. -
