Carrongrove now demolished was on the site of Herbertshire papermill.
Carrongrove bought over and knocked down Herbertshire in the early 1900’s
Carrongrove originally produced esparto grass paper, fine writings, coated paper, coloured paper, cheque paper. I had over the course of time 5 paper machines all fourdrinier The last machine was called the Carron twin. I mostly made graphic boards and owned the Gemini brand. This brand was later sold to Tullis Russell of Glenrothes.
